Founded in 2016, Trojan Energy was formed with one key mission; to ensure everyone benefits from the energy transition.
With a strong focus on enabling the uptake of electric vehicles, Trojan Energy developed the Trojan EV Charging System. A system that benefits EV users without drive ways, the average pedestrian as well as councils due to the 'Lance' technology that can be removed when not in use. Leaving the pavements clutter free for everyone gives EV users the confidence and practicality of having their own personal 'charging unit'.
We want to do our bit in helping the global goal of improving air quality and transition into renewable energy. We're doing this by addressing the issue of the lack of EV charging infrastructure within the urban environment.
We're charging towards Net-Zero.
Ian has led 100+ person engineering teams in oil majors delivering projects worth over £300m and is a very experienced manger and development engineer. Today Ian leads Trojan and is committed to using his talents to help reduce the need for further fossil fuel developments.
The twin brother of Ian, Hugh is an engineer and entrepreneur who has built two companies generating over £50m of revenue worldwide. He has patented and developed 11 technologies used worldwide in the oil industry. With over 25 years of experience in advanced design and manufacturing, Ashley has developed numerous unique products for the oil industry. With deep knowledge of design software, machining processes, seals and coatings he is the driving force behind the connector and lance design. Ashley’s expertise lies in his ability to think out of the box and create beautifully engineered products. From conceptualisation, mathematical analysis of parts, manufacturing drawings and manufacturing experience, he is the key design member of the team and in the prime of his engineering prowess, he is leading our design team as we get “street ready”.
Sandy has spent his engineering career developing high-reliability electronics for harsh environments. Over the last 10 years he worked designing power and control systems for North Sea subsea applications before moving into the area of engineering data management, deploying a digital-twin of an operational brownfield asset combining 1D / 2D and 3D representations of 20 years accumulated engineering data. With experience in developing, deploying and supporting the operational activities of subsea production control systems and digital knowledge management systems he now transfers those skills to the EV charging domain and has particular interest in OCPP, OCPI and ISO 15118.
